Fire sprinkler system design

Design

Security Fire employs NICET certified design technicians who work with the latest software to produce high quality, code compliant shop drawings.

Our Design Technicians are continually pursuing better and more efficient design methods to help each project move smoothly. This includes training on the latest design software, keeping up to date on NFPA codes and investigating new and improved product offerings. In addition, the design technicians work with local authorities and insurance authorities to secure the fastest approval turnaround on shop drawing submittal packages.

We use the latest versions of AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSprink, Revit MEP, NavisWorks and other programs to produce shop drawings and perform calculations. We have the capability to design and coordinate projects in 3D and work towards full BIM integration. Our team of design technicians work hard to coordinate all jobs which results in fewer field changes, project delays and change orders.

In addition to software knowledge, our design technicians attend training workshops, live seminars and online seminars to keep up to date on the latest code developments including NFPA, IBC and local jurisdictions requirements. It’s this dedication to education and knowledge that helps our designers find creative, cost efficient solutions to fire protection problems others may overlook.

Keeping up to date on the latest product offerings from the various manufacturers is just another way our design team sets itself apart. Whether it’s a new sprinkler head, valve, alarm device, etc. we will investigate the advantages, risks and costs of new products to help keep all systems on the cutting edge of technology.
